Please feel free to contact us directly if you are interested in purchasing a horse from us or coming to visit, so that you can try before you buy, riding and working cattle! Horses are a lot of hard work so you really need to match your personality and lifestyle with the “right” horse.

Campdrafting is a tough sport on an immature horses body and mind, so when purchasing if you don’t have enough work to maintain a horse, you may need to buy a more mature one which suits your particular situation.

We have a couple of young horses coming through out of performed mares, also some going camp horses at all times. Pictured is a handful of really nice horses we have sold recently or available at the moment:

DOB: 2012

Sire: Tassa N Smart Dam: Rodann Docs Chexa

14.3hh colt, with a solid foundation in working a cow. Has been mustering, travelled, cutting training, and tracking a cow. Easy to do anything with. He has a nice temperament not having served any mares, and has run with geldings until now! He is a fantastic futurity/challenge prospect as he is an early maturing horse. Please note the very cool markings… he has a HEART over the offside of his rump!! He is offered for private sale, expressions of interest invited, or trade for cattle negotiated. Pete is also considering maintaining a share in him if suitable.

Chexa – “…was the best cutting out mare I ever sat on…” (Pete Comiskey) …”..the most talented mare I ever competed on…..” Chexa is no longer with us, but she was 3/4 sister to the famous “Rodann Roanies Chex” who was and still is the most decorated campdraft mare of Pete Comiskey’s because……”she never argued”……she was campaigned until she was 19yo and still looks as fit as ever. Chexa won the Canning Downs, was 3rd in the Warwick Gold Cup as well as winning a the novice horse title 2002, and open horse title 2003, winning many cutouts and other open Campdraft’s. Chexa was by Docs Battler.

Tassa N Smart needs no introduction as his progeny are succeeding in many arena’s! We believe good horses come from very solid mare lines, so we believe this little colt has a smart future, coming from performance on both sides.

Not registered – 10 year old gelding 15.2hh

Sire: One moore playboy

Novice gelding, can be ridden by the whole family and would be a great weekend horse, as he is a no fuss gelding in every way.

$13,200 inc gst

DOB: 01/12/2011
Reg:  AQHA: Q-75803
Sire: Smartys high card   Dam: Daddys Jewel   (Click here for pedigree)

14.3hh Bay Roan Mare

Going nicely this mare has all the potential for competition. She has been cutting trained by Maree Rudd, then she has been mustering and set up for campdrafting ever since. Jewel is lovely and quiet enough for anyone to ride, she remains rookie eligible, as we believe she is a real prospect to be competitive as she begins campdraft competition.  Jewel is cowy and athletic, and will be a lot of fun for anyone wanting a mare full of potential.

Note Jewels breeding, by Smartys Highcard, then out of Daddys Jewel, who was by Dmac Daddy, out of a Freckles Oak mare.

DOB: 10/10/2005
Reg: ASH: 182932
Sire: LU Diamond Phillips Dam: Starelle Miss Rain Doc (Click here for pedigree)

15hh Black/brown Mare

A big nice travelling mare, who has been trained, ridden and camp drafted by a lady.  Ebony is forward moving and has been there done that.  She is safe after a spell and would suit a lot of different disciplines from mustering, team penning, camp drafting, stock horse classes and pleasure riding.  Ebony is cowy, powerful and athletic, great walking and sensible.

Ebony is by the champion sire Lu Diamond Phillips, who is by Acres Destiny.  With her confirmation and temperament, she would be an asset to any Stockhorse breeding program.

DOB: 9/12/2006
Reg: ASH: 185078
Sire: Nandeye Resistance – HSH Dam: Nandeye Calypson – HSH (Click here for pedigree)

A lovely mare ready to draft, By Resistance out of a Romeo mare – Tango tracks a cow like all Romeo’s do, she is well travelled and has done a lot of station work. Tango has placed in Novice and Maiden drafts being consistent at every competition. Definitely worth a look for any campdrafter chasing the Romeo bloodlines.
